Violation of DeviantArt Policy

I logged onto DeviantArt yesterday only to find that I had 3 images deleted on September 21. At first I could not review the images because they were completely deleted from DeviantArt but I was able to find them on a local folder I maintain on my computer for the submissions I manage here. Well, these images were in no way depicting a man with an erection. But the man was holding his penis or touching himself. The images were in Black & White and were a part of a series that I was maintaining here.

This is the 3rd time in several months that I have had images removed from DeviantArt.  DeviantArt art is becoming more and more of a censored platform. When will the censorship stop? It is important for artists to be responsible for the things they depict but come on DeviantArt use to be the place were we could post those images that some sites were fearful of posting. Unfortunately, DeviantArt is becoming another Instagram where you only see the pretty, safe, happy images which is NOT representative to how others see the real world.

Erections
There should be no use of imagery depicting an erect penis, however there may be exceptions granted to illustrations created for legitimate medical or educational purposes.

I was very surprised this morning when I saw that DavidSobe, a former fellow DA photographer is now no longer on deviantArt.  I am sadden that he is no longer sharing his wonderful work here but I do hope that he continues to create such beautiful images as the ones shown below.  Does anyone know what happened to David to cause this quick exit from deviantArt?

I appreciate all the birthday wishes a great deal. It means a lot to me that so many of you took the time to wish me well. My birthday was spent quietly editing photos and enjoying images on deviantart!

Some of you may already be aware of this but I have started a Tumblr account.
